Why I feel like a fool I'm not quite sure, 000's of fashion bloggers take photos of their hands, feet and more on a daily basis. But, then again, I'm not a fashion blogger, I'm actually quite camera shy, and the lens only emphasises the fact I've got spider-woman fingers! Speaking of fashion blogs, I've got a new one which I'm going to share with you when I get a moment between the unpacking and hand photography :P Anyway, back to the case in hand (excuse the pun), I'm taking photos of my hand because after much deliberation and blathering on about 'only wearing natural toned nail polishes' I decided to try pale gray polish. I'm not an early adopter when it comes to fashion, I tend to wait and see how everyone else looks in stuff then decide, so about 2 years after it became popular, here I am sporting it! So what's my verdict? I like it but think a paler grey would suit my skintone more... in the photo below I use flash which makes the grey seem lighter, and more attractive I think (it's a Rimmel 60second nail varnish - not very long lasting, but cheap for make up experiments like this). What's your favourite nail colour?

Loving the grey! Unfortunately with my skin tone the only thing that works is super light pinky white, just a shade paler than my natural colour. ANything ese just look weird or trashy. I use the rimmel stuff too.
Hi Deb! I know what you mean about trashy, I can only wear pale colours on my hands as their dark, if I go anywhere near red or fuscia I look sooo cheap! xb
they're dark I should say, not their :-)
did you buy your rimmel nail polish in Madrid? If so, where did you buy it? I've always liked rimmel. I think the grey is very pretty. p.s. do you ever have problems with Corte Ingles? I'm boycotting them.
Hi Rachel, I got the Rimmel in the UK, but as far as I know one of the few places you can buy it in Spain is, wait for it, El Corte Inglés!! I know, I hate them too, and the weird thing is lots of Spanish people told me it was the place with the best service and products - but it's rubbish on both counts! That said, after several years of trying to avoid them, I've finally come to the conclusion that for some things in Spain you just have to go there :( x
I really like deep, dark red and plum shades or cool metallics...
Ashleigh, I love plums too -especially on my toes - such a classic!
I was rocking the BarryM dark blue nails this weekend. Definately needed 2 coats to make it a rich colour! I think with an evening/party outfit it looked really good, not a great look for day time though, too vampy.
Sayd

Speaking of BarryM, that raspberry nail polish stayed on for ages - great value for the price!
It suits us darkies??? I must give it a go! I hate E.C.I. too, although having said that I am to be found in their over-priced supermarket almost every Sunday. Grrr...
Nadya, I hope this doesn't come accross a bit stalkerish but were you by any chance in Pain Quotidian on Saturday? I was there with my Mum and sat behind an English girl who resembled you. Well if it wasn't you, then there's some English chick around town who resembles you. She's very leggy and has glossy hair so take it as a compliment.
Hi Debs, yes that was me!! How funny! I didn't see you, which is unusual as I'm quite observant...but I was telling a friend all about my Bali trip and was probably pretty absorbed - come to think about it, apologies in advance if I said anything untoward in front of your mum, lol. Next time come and join me :-)
Just thinking, I'm so silly, of course I didn't 'see' you - I would have to have recognised you by some of your shoe shots on your blog!!
I love the color of your polish
Thank you Kaye :-)
