Bank holiday

Well it's bank holiday weekend in Madrid, so four days off work for everyone. The plan had been to go to a 'casa rural', or country house, with a few friends, but I didn't really feel like it with Bell's Palsy. So we decided to keep it local instead. Yesterday we went to see some contemporary dance-then ruined the cultural vein of the evening by going to what was possibly the most unpleasant burger king in the world! Today went to a village near Madrid-Chinchon- for a lovely roast lamb lunch on a terrace with views of the picturesque town square. Tomorrow we're going to Ikea, where I hope to pick up some things to finish off the bathroom.
